(1) The actinomorphic , tubular flowers of both species are pale blue to mauve, with epipetalous anthers.(2) The large, showy flowers are actinomorphic , with a bowl-shaped corolla made up of 5-8 pinkish-red petals.(3) This group is composed by eight species belonging to four families with nectarless, dish-shaped and actinomorphic flowers, which are showy, and yellow- or pink-colored.(4) Flowers are usually showy, bisexual and actinomorphic or nearly so.(5) Determining the orientation of an actinomorphic flower seems impossible in ebractate taxa.(6) Look for an elongate floral axis, numerous parts that are spirally arranged, lack of differentiation between calyx and corolla, actinomorphy (regular flowers), and lack of connation (fusion of like parts) and lack of adnation (fusion of unlike parts).(7) If all parts are equally spaced around the centre, the flowers are radially symmetrical, a condition termed actinomorphy .(8) The presence of five stamens is always associated with actinomorphy (radial symmetry) of the corolla (Ramonda, Thamnocharis, Bournea, Tengia, Conandron, Bellonia, Napeanthus p.p.).(9) According to the theory, the primeval features are: actinomorphy , hermaphroditic polymer flower with an apocarpous gynoeceum.(10) We find strong support for floral integration and its relation with floral morphology ( actinomorphy vs zygomorphy) and for a decoupling of floral and vegetative traits, but no evidence that modular integration varies with floral morphology.
